Day - 1
/ Yangon - Kyaikhtiyo
Take the road trip to the Kyaikhtiyo Mountain located about 160 km
from Yangon. Kyaikhtiyo is one of the most venerated Buddhist sites
in Myanmar. There are many legends about the pagoda, it is known as
the Golden Rock it’s supposedly held in place by a delicately placed
hair of the Buddha. Coach has to stop at the base of the hill and
continue by an open truck up to the hill it takes about 45 minutes.
Overnight at hotel.
Day - 2
/ Kyaikhtiyo - Mawlamyine
Proceed by coach to Mawlamyine (115 km - 5 1/2 hours). En route, stop
in Thaton, former capital of the Mon Kingdom. Between Thaton and Hpa-an stop for a visit at the Bayintnyi Caves. Continue, passing the bridge
across the Thanlwin river, to Hpa-an, the capital of Kayin State.
Brief stop in Hpa-an before proceeding on the last stretch (about 1
hr) to Mawlamyine. Arrival in Mawlamyine, the Capital of Mon State.
Visit the local Zegyi market in the late afternoon. Overnight in
Mawlamyine.
Day - 3
/ Mawlamyine
After breakfast ,drive to Mudon to see the world’s largest recling
Buddha ../image. Continue to Thanbyu Zayat second world war memorial
cemetary. Pay a visit to Kyaik Khami Yay-Leh pagoda. Lunch at Setse
beach. Return to Mawlamyine. On the way visit to Taung waing pagoda,
compound with its 500 monk statues. Late afternoon sightseeing to
Kyaikthanlan pagoda and view point. Overnight at Mawlamyine.
Day - 4
/ Mawlamyine-Yangon
Morning across the Mottama Channel by ferry boat and then (224km-8
hours) drive to Bago. Then Continue to Yangon.
